妻子的外遇

Chapter 256 One Quest Down

That wonderful overhead kick seemed to have shattered the morale of Frono FC players a little, but there was still a lot of time left in the game and they had to keep fighting.

"They\'ve been cooking it for a while and they\'ve finally served it to the hosts," Jim said. "Can Frono FC make a comeback or will Unique FC end up dragging out their first victory of the season from them?"

One of the center-backs passed the ball to Ahmed but before the attacking midfielder could do anything with the ball, Ferran came up from behind and stole the ball from him.

"Nicely done by Ferran," Steve said.

The midfielder quickly sent the ball rolling to Minino on the right.

The midfielder used the momentum of the ball to get past the midfielder trying to stop him with a cheeky backheel nutmeg.

"Woah! What was that?" Jim reacted.

The midfielder raced down the right wing with the ball before slightly cutting into the middle and laying the ball off for Fredinho.

"Fredinho."

Fredinho received the ball at the edge of the box and because there were a couple of players clustered around him trying to get the ball off him, the only thing the striker could do was pass the ball to someone close by and luckily for him, Ferran happened to be heading toward him at that exact time.

He pushed the ball to Ferran and without thinking, the midfielder fired the ball toward the goalpost with a tiny bit of elevation.

"Ferran!"

The shot was heading toward the right side of the goalpost from below but luckily for the guests, one of the center-backs was there to block the shot with his foot and deflect the ball toward Emerson for an easy save.

"Oh, that was a close one, that could have been Unique FC\'s second goal, nice job from the defender to thwart that shot.

The match continued till the eightieth minute and still, Frono FC had not been able to do anything.

They were keeping more ball possession now but still, getting past Unique FC\'s defense wasn\'t something that they could just five into.

Seth received the ball from Ahmed and feigned shooting toward the goalpost to get Roland out of the way but the left-back didn\'t flinch so he had to pass the ball back to Darwin who was close to the edge of the box in the middle.

The striker wanted to try a shot, but on second thought, he turned back and passed the ball to Ahmed.

"Back to Ahmed," Jim said. "I think they\'ve run out of ideas here."

Ahmed pushed the ball forward a little before he sent it rolling to the midfielder on the left.

The midfielder quickly moved down the left wing in a quick attempt to get past Norman but that didn\'t work, so he quickly looked around the box area for a plan B and that was when he saw Seth making his way past Roland.

He pulled his leg back and sent the ball flying to Seth from the top but before the ball could get to him, Roland quickly rushed to the area to contest for the ball in the air.

Roland ended up winning the aerial duel and sending the ball out for a corner kick and that had resulted in Seth crashing to the floor, the winger raised his hand and called for a foul but the referee didn\'t think so as he blew his whistle before pointing to the corner kick spot for a corner kick.

"Nice defending by Roland, Seth\'s on the floor calling for a foul on him but it doesn\'t look like the referee\'s going to consider it, it\'s a corner kick for Frono FC." Jim expressed.

Since the goalkeeper didn\'t believe that he was fouled, the winger had no choice but to get up and go take the corner kick.

"I don\'t think he was fouled there, he was the one that jumped up and clashed with Roland and then he suddenly crashed to the floor, there was no push or anything from Roland." Steve articulated.

Seth was standing over the ball at the corner kick spot as the players from both teams ran around inside the box.

The referee blew his whistle as the winger took three steps backward before he quickly closed up on the ball and sent it flying into the box.

This time the ball was kept away from the box so that Dave wouldn\'t intervene with it.

Adolf contested for the ball in the air against Darwin and the striker ended up winning the aerial duel as he got his head on the ball and sent it flying toward the left side of the goalpost from the top.

"Darwin!"

Dave would have been too late if he had moved a second slower, he didn\'t dive that much, but he was able to get the tip of his left glove on it and that was all that was needed to send the ball over the bar for another corner kick.

"What a save from Dave, Frono FC aren\'t finding this easy, getting past Unique FC\'s defense has been quite tough for them, and when they do find a way to get past the defense, Dave Richards is in between the sticks to stop them." Jim expressed.

"Yeah, but I think Dave was a little off balance when he made that save, like he was planning to go the other way because he thought that was where the ball was going to be sent by Darwin," Steve said. "He was able to quickly get it right, but one wrong move and that ball could have been in the back of the net."

\'That was close.\' The goalkeeper said subconsciously before breathing a sigh of relief.

<That could have been a silly mistake, and I don\'t think you should start breathing easy, it\'s not over yet>

\'I know, I\'m not breathing easy.\'

Seth was standing over the ball at the corner kick spot on the left waiting for the referee\'s whistle and as soon as he heard it, he took two steps backward before he sent the ball flying into the box.

"It\'s floated in."

This time, Aima was the one who got his head to the ball first, but he wasn\'t able to clear it properly as the ball fell to the foot of Ahmed at the edge of the box.

"That wasn\'t well done and now Ahmed\'s about to do something, Ahmed!"

The midfielder didn\'t hesitate before firing the shot toward the left side of the goalpost but there was no elevation.

Dave happened to be closer to the area at that time and all he needed to do was stretch out his leg and block the ball.

That was quite careless given the fact that the rebound could get to anyone but that was the best he could do at that intense moment and fortunately for him, Norman was able to clear the rebound.

"Saved by Dave and cleared by Norman, it looks like Unique FC are still holding on to their lead," Jim said.

"The time\'s about to hit the ninetieth minute, Frono FC will have to think of something fast if they don\'t want to lose this game," Steve said.

\'I told you I was going to make more crucial saves, that part of the quest is done now isn\'t it?\'

<Yeah, but the quest won\'t be completed until you clear the other two, and the other two won\'t be completed until the match is over>

\'I know, and I am ready to fight it out to the end.\'
